Can't Google/Yahoo/Bing search on any browser

November 17, 2010 at 18:38:35
Specs: Windows Vista

Hi,

I've downloaded and ran several antivirus programs, but I still can't seem to search the internet on any browser. I've ran HijackThis, and it told me that my system has denied access to the Hosts file, and that it may not be able to help me with hijacked domains in this file.

I'm not too tech savvy, and I'm not sure what to do next. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Mike

I would suspect that your computer is still infected with spyware. You should download a legitimate anti-spyware software and run a full scan. I would recommend using malwarebytes antimalware or spybot. Download links could be found at http://www.pcrisk.com/top-spyware-r... Download, install and update. Then run a full scan. This should help. Have in mind that when you can have several antispyware programs on your computer, you should only have one antivirus program, having two different programs may cause problems.
