I need help badly. I am trying to install a game that I have paid for. Everytime I install the game then try to run it I get the following message.
""This program has been damaged, possibly by a bad sector of the hard drive or a virus. Please reinstall it.""
I have done the following with no help at all.
1. Rin scan disk 2. update and run Norton AV and kaspersky AV 3. Run updated Adaware and fix problems. 4. Run Hijack this and fix problems. 5. Run Trojan REmover and report was no problems. 6. delete all traces of that game and reinstall multiple times.
Help .... where to go from here??? Software vendor says I have a virus but I'll be darned if I can find one.

Did you scan the game itself? Is the game made for 98? Did you tell the vendor that you used Norton and Kaspersky and no virus was found, and all your other programs are working properly. There are many vendors that do not offer refunds, but the vendor should exchange the game for the same game for you.

Try to Scan your system "on line", with others AV providers that offer this feature. In most cases, one company have the vaccine for "that" virus that the others not. Good luck, and let me know what's happens about this subject. Gus.
