I've been reading this forum everyday for almost a year now and enjoy it alot and have learned a tremendous amount about computer virus and spyware problems. Thank everyone. I have a problem with my daughter's computer. It's a Compaq cd-tv 520,-90meg with 36megs of ram. Slow and old I know but she likes it.I've installed Spy-Bot and Ad-Aware and Spyblaster and CW Schredder. This cleaned it up quite abit. She has Netscape 4.7 and I cant change the home page in prefs. It is greyed out. Is there a reg hack that I can use or some other way to get rid of searchalot.com. It doesn't seem to cause any problems but I don't want it to tell me what page to use. This is my first post so thanks everyone. This is the best sight on the net that I know of.

Good comment, sonnysandiego. That should work. Also just run a check in SpyBot to see if the Internet settings have been locked down. This also causes the grey out in IE preferences. Any further problems, or to check all the bugs are gone, run a HijackThis scan and post it here
