i went and got norton antivirus and scanned my computer. now when i get on the internet i can not close it out. to get out of the internet i have to shut my computer down. what can i do?

IMHO I would unload Norton using their uninstaller from the website, or NOTHING will run well on your PC. http://service1.symantec.com/Suppor... First I would use Ccleaner Slim and remove all it finds, it will make the anti-virus scans much quicker because it will delete lots of adware files and cookies. Then you could use either Avast or AVG free, I would suggest avast and allow it to do a bootscan on reboot and move everything to the chest. http://www.filehippo.com/download_a... "NOTHING will run well on your PC" This is a very old fashioned thing to say about norton, Their newer version run just fun and use little. so unless your PC is like 5+ years old it will be fine. What kind of internet connection do you have? Broadband, dial up etc.
