cant browse to any anivirus sites!

This is very strange. I have one of my clients PCs which cannot browse to ANY antvirus websites, (SARC, MCAFEE, SOPHOS, etc...)! I have looked high and low for any info on this issue...NOTHING! I have spoken to all of the above mentioned AV companies, but they could not help me. The HD has been removed and scanned on another PC, but comes up as clean. I can't brlieve there is not one other person out there who has been through this

virus + blocks antivirus sites

Place CWshredder.exe on a diskette and run it on that system with all windows closed.

Then look for a C:\Windows\HOSTS file with entries for those sites in it. If found, remove those URL's from the HOSTS file.
