gave me a ip which denotes ma page hopefully
but when i type that url in browser and pres enter i cant c my site opening...

What ip did you get, a public or a private ip?
Is your web-server behind a firewall or a home office router?
Are you trying to browse the web site, by using the public ip, the private ip or the domain name?

man thanks for replying in ..
u ask me so many questions :O
i typed nslookup mysite.com in cmd prompt
under non authorative answer i got a ip address something like 66....
when accessed with domain name in browser it works fine...but when i try to access site with this ip its not showing anything than a blank page
programming newbie :)

If you're running your own DNS server inside your lokal network, there is possibly configured a A Record for your Domain name, that points to the local IP address of the Server.
That would declare, that it's possible to access the web server by Domain name.
For the public IP of that web server, there is no entry in the routing table, that points the local computers to the right direction. So when trying to access the web server via ip address, you have to use it's private ip address from your local lan.
E.g. 192.168.x.x

pardon me if this is newbish question....u mean to say that if im hosting ma pages on some paid public srvr i cannot access the pages with the ip that i get when i nslookup in ma comman prompt for that site ??
ex:nslookup www.translineups.com
*** Can't find server name for address 192.168.1.1: Non-existent domain
*** Default servers are not available
Server: UnKnown
Address: 192.168.1.1Non-authoritative answer:
Name: translineups.com
Address: 66.228.127.246
Aliases: www.translineups.comthis is hosted in public server...i cant access this page using the ip above...why and how can i solve it ?
cause im in desperate need of doing it...have to access ma page using ip ...
plzz guide me through
programming newbie :)

No, that was concerning a Web-Server in your local net, accessable from the internet.
If your Web-Server is hosted on a public server and you can't access it from inside your network by using the domain name, there is something wrong with your DNS configuration.
What output did you get, when trying to ping www.translineups.com or ping translineups.com.
The output must not be something like 192.168.x.x.

That's what I meant.
If you go to simply ping the domain name and get back 192.168.x.x, there is a wrong lokal entry in your DNS server or router.
