I was curious and played around with a virus I found on someone's flash drive, expecting to be able to end its process as soon as I started it... That's one mistake I'll never make again. A virus named eksplorasi.exe installed itself. I ended its process, found it and deleted it. Now when my computer starts up it says it can't find eksplorasi.exe. I tried going into regedit, but on this user profile it says I don't have permission to access it. My folder options, which were previously set to show known extensions, were set to do the opposite, because there were other viruses that had icons of folders but had the .exe icon (clever, aren't they?) Now when I click on the tools menu in a folder "folder options" doesn't show up on the list, and it doesn't show up in the control panel either! Luckily on the other profile on this computer I can access the registry and folder options. What do I do to fix this?

Download and run Kaspersky AVP tool: http://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com...
Once you download and start the tool:

# Check below options:

    * Select all the objects/places to be scanned.
    * Settings > Customize > Heuristic analyzer > Enable deep rootkit search

# Click Scan
# Fix what it detects
# Attach Scan log/Summary to your next message.
