Hey all, I'm new here, and do not have much knowledge of computers. I've been trying to update Windows Updates, and cannot, and a list of many other things. Like... Spybot search and destroy, Ad-Aware, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, PC Tools Spyware doctor cannot even download fully because it will not allow me to update it. I've tried going to the site to manually do it, though cannot seem to either figure that out, or it's not working as well. Also, there is a program that keeps popping up in my internet browser, that is trying to disguise itself as Windows telling me I have a bad virus and need to download this to fix it. I looked on the internet to see what it was, and found it was a virus as well, though I do not know the name of it anymore and do not have it in any previous history. Also, this computer has Fix-It Utilities 8 on it, and my wife seemed to have used it to run some anti-virus on the computer and the computer said it found many files, and it had to be quarantined, so she said she lost many files, and many things went missing. The computer just seemed buggy after that she said. So please help me, I would really rather not have to reformat the computer. So...? Does no one even have a clue, or is no one just giving a s--- to reply to my question? I see people who post s--- within MINUTES get theirs answered. This site is a complete let-down.
