Hello everyone :) Anybody knows how to remove meebo bar? I thought i could just uninstall from control panel, but there is no softwares related with meebo to be removed. It so annoying.
Please Help. Thank You.

If its the real meebo there should be a uninstall/remove right in the menu. I would check that first
Hi mikelinus :) Yesterday i've tried so hard to find the right solution and i've found it at last.
Seems i'm using Google Chrome, i just use this steps and it works!Google Chrome > Tools > Extensions > Uninstall 'the meebo'
Now i feel relieve without the annoying meebo chat bar! :))
I do not have Google chrome. Under tools i do not have the option of Extensions > Uninstall 'the meebo' HELP
Stark3923,
Whats your browser? In Firefox you should be looking under Addons and just select uninstall.
For I.E. you need to look in Manage Addons then toolbars, then uninstall it.
I have firefox and NO addons are under the heading HELP
Try running HighJackThis, do a full scan with create log. Here is the HJT link:
http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micr...
Now you will have to send the log to the HJT log checking website to be checked. At this link:
http://hijackthis.de/index.php?lang...
Put the log it to the box and press analyse. It will tell you what toolbar's etc to remove.
Things to remove will have Meebo in them.
Stark3923,
(Regarding your removed post)
Before you say the two links I provided are are scam etc.
CNET Downloads is the worlds biggest download site on the planet, and is highly recommended world wide.(Do not click on the ads around the page which are safe, just the download button under the Trend Micro HighJackThis download.)
The Highjackthis log checking website does not sell anything? just reads your log and checks it against their malware, virus data base. Then it lets you see what the list says about whats on your pc.
HighJackThis is used a lot on Anti Virus forum sites, and is a trusted valuable tool in removing malware and viruses.

As for the comments about this site, it is a excellent site. And they do a great job running it.
Apparently this meebo crap isn't just something you install anymore; it's more like an ad that appears on certain sites. I like using Chrome, but right now, AdBlock and other extensions can't get rid of Meebo "ads" (fake toolbars that are really ads) except on a site-by-site basis. Firefox's addon Ad Block Plus WITH Element Hiding Helper is the ONLY solution I've found to get rid of this annoying ad. When I use Chrome, I just avoid the sites that have the damned toolbar ad, or fire up Firefox if I really need to see the page. (I hate Meebo THAT MUCH.)
Hope Chrome develops an extension that can KILL MEEBO ADS altogether like Firefox.
(Btw, ITA that Hijack This is a great tool for finding/exterminating crap off your system! It wouldn't be too useful for finding these "ads" though, just the actual Meebo toolbar.)
Hey do you have skype or any of that??? Because when I had the skype extension on my Firefox it had the meebo bar. so you might want to go under tools click add ons and then click disable skype extension
I'm not sure of the other browser interfaces but with IE....goto tools, internet options, security tab, restricted sites.......add "*.meebo.com" without the quotes......problem solved......no more meebo bar anywhere you go.....at least on the internet......I suppose there actually could be a Meebo Bar somewhere......
