I've run into a problem that has stumped me. If I use a search engine (i.e. google.com) and click on any links given, it'll automatically redirect me to some random website/shady search engine with the search I just typed in. I found a temp work around which requires me to click the original link 5-6 times to avoid getting redirected. Now I'm noticing a severe spike in lag/slowdown.
I've run multiple spyware/virus removal tools, googled all over for similar problems but to no avail. I would love for a possible solution, but I'd be more than happy with somebody helping ID the problem. I've never seen anything like this yet.

Cancel my last post. I should've read some more threads. I do have the google redirect virus/malware.
I seem to be having trouble downloading "Hijackthis" as it seems my browser keeps crashing everytime I click a link with it (from trend micro or even a forum with the words in it.)
