Please post a new Malwarebytes log.

Please download and install the latest version of HijackThis v2.0.2:

Download the "HijackThis" Installer from this link:
Hijack This

1. Save " HJTInstall.exe" to your desktop.
2. Double click on HJTInstall.exe to run the program.
3. By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
4. Accept the license agreement by clicking the "I Accept" button.
5.Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
6. Click "Save log" to save the log file and then the log will open in Notepad.
7. Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
8. Paste the log in your next reply.
9. Do NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet! Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Check your version of java and make sure it is version 6 update 11.

Go to start> control panel> java> general tab> click about. If is is not that version click the update tab> update now. While in control panel go to add/remove programs and uninstall all the older versions of java.

Run Malwarebytes again and follow these directions paying close attention to item 6.

1. Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
2. Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
3. If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
4. Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan. The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
5. When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
6. Make sure that everything found is checked, and click Remove Selected.
7. When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.
8. The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
9. Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

As requested, I verified that I was running Java v6.11 and removed all previous versions. Also, I uninstalled Malwarebytes, downloaded a fresh copy from cnet.com, and re-ran the scan. Whereas each of my previous scans consistently found exactly 6 malicious objects, this latest scan found well over 100. Additionally, I did have to reboot to remove a few of the bad objects. Here is the logfile from my last scan:

Once you get SDFix downloaded go offline and turn of your antivirus and any antispyware that you have, run SDFix from safe mode and restart the Antivirus before you get back on line to post the log.

Download SDFix.exe and save it to your Desktop.
Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with SDFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".
Click on This Link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.
Remember to re-enable the protection again afterwards before connecting to the Internet.

1.Double click SDFix.exe and choose Install to extract it to its own folder on the Desktop. Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
Choose your usual account.
2. Open the c:\SDFix folder and double click RunThis.cmd to start the script.
Type Y to begin the script.
It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
3. Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
4. Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt

Apologies for not continuing this thread; I am now having a connectivity issue (and am forced to respond on from my work computer). A few days ago, my computer froze. Since then, the internet connection has been affected. My computer says that I am connected wirelessly and I show good/excellent signal strength, but nothing gets transmitted. I've tried repairing the connection, I've checked the device manager to make sure all devices were working properly, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the wireless card, etc. I also get the same result when I try to connect with a network cable. I'm really hoping something just got tweaked with my settings and it's not a hardware problem, but I am completely at a loss right now. My wife is taking the machine into her work right now so her IT department can take a look at it. However, I'd be curious as to whether or not you have any thoughts. Until then, I will continue to reply via my work computer (which connects just fine wirelessly and via cable to my home network).

One of these, usually the first, suggestions should get you online but the baddie is still active and will need to he removed.

First try this:

Click on Start, click Run, and then type devmgmt.msc and click OK
On the View menu click on Show hidden devices
Browse to Non-Plug and Play Drivers and click the + sign to the left, you should see something like TDSSserv.sys in that list.
Highlight that driver and right click on it and select DISABLE - NOT uninstall.
Now RESTART your computer.

If that did not work go start > run type cmd and press enter or ok.
type ipconfig /flushdns (The space between g and / is needed)

Then press Enter, type Exit, press Enter again, Try to connect to the internet.

If that did not work try Safe Mode with Networking. Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
Select Safe Mode with Networking, then press "Enter".
Choose your usual account.

If that did not work Probably because the winsocks are damaged. This is microsofts method for repairing them.

Step 1

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. In Registry Editor, locate the following keys, right-click each key, and then click Delete:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock2

4. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
Note Restart the computer after you delete the Winsock keys. Doing so causes the Windows XP operating system to create new shell entries for those two keys. If you do not restart the computer after you delete the Winsock keys, the next step does not work correctly.

Step 2 Install TCP/IP

1. Right-click the network connection, and then click Properties.
2. Click Install.
3. Click Protocol, and then click Add.
4. Click Have Disk.
5. Type C:\Windows\inf and then click OK.
6. On the list of available protocols, click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click OK.

Normally you do not need to go any further than this...Restart the computer and try to get online.

If Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) does not appear, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, and then click Search.
2. In the Search Companion pane, click More advanced options.
3. Click to select the following three check boxes:
a. Search system folders
b. Search hidden files and folders
c. Search subfolders
4. In the All or part of the file name box, type nettcpip.inf, and then click Search.
5. In the results pane, right-click Nettcpip.inf, and then click Install.
6. Restart the computer.

YES! Well, one problem is solved - I am able to get back online. Unfortunately, my other problem still exists. The zlob infection seems to be gone, however, the vundo infection is still there. Right now it is manifesting itself as MS Juan and MS Track System. No matter how many AVG or Malwarebyte scans I run, the 2 files stay on the computer. The popups are getting more annoying, so any advice would be grateful.

Looks like you were using Nortons antivirus but are now using AVG. If this is so we need to remove the Norton remnants with Hijack This . If that is not so you need to uninstall one of the antivirus programs, your choice, that you have as they will conflict.

Do not remove the Symantec items with Hijack This if you are using Nortons for your antivirus.

Run Hijack This , close all windows and browsers except Hijack This, place a check to the left of the following items and press "fix checked":

Exit Hijack This.

Please download ComboFix to the desktop from one of the following links:

Link1

Link 2

Link 3

Combofix is a powerful tool so follow the instructions exactly or you could damage your computer.

Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with Combofix and remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".
Click on This Link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.

In your case to run Combofix do the following:
1. Go offline turn off your AVG/Nortons antivirus, Ad-Aware and any other antispyware that you may have.
2. Run Combofix and save its log.
3. Restart the computer to get the antivirus running again but leave the antispyware programs off until we get the computer cleaned.
4. Post the Combofix log.

Remember to re-enable the protection again afterwards before connecting to the Internet.

Double-click combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
(Don't click on the window while the program is running or move the mouse, it will cause your system to hang.)
Please post the log it produces.

Okay, I've removed the requested items. However, when I go to Start>All Programs, Norton 360 still shows up. It doesn't seem to have any impact on this machine, but when I ran ComboFix it detected that there were Norton remnants present. I went ahead with the scan; here is the log:
