Hey Guys -

I have a virus or some type of trojan that cannot be detected of cleaned from my PC. Ive done hours or work and Ive eliminated driver problems, hardware problems with various tests.

Ive scanned with AVG, Symantec, Housecall, Malwarebytes, Spybot, Adaware. Updates windows and ran driver verifier.

Today I found out that my paypal account was entered and $2000 was taken from my account. Luckily it will be returned but it pretty much confirms to me that a virus or trojan is the issue.

Hijackthis reports nothing fishy...

Any ideas?

It's always a good idea to use a bootable CD with antivirus software, that can be run in ram. So it can be updated and then scan the whole system.
Advantage: No Windows system is running and therefor no virus can avoid virus scanning.

There are several Live CD Virus Scanner. Here is one, I use by myself:

This is the direkt download link:

Before start scanning, click the update button and after that, check the configuration and change the settings, to delete infected files or try to repair infected files.

I tried this. Only gave me a few warnings but found no infections.

Im down to this. I start my PC and my IE will pop up for 1 second after I click on it and close. Minutes later Im able to bring it up and it works. Then all the sudden out of nowhere the computer will seem like its working but some apps are frozen. Minutes later everything freezes and a hard reboot is needed. This can happen while connected to the INET or disconnect (except the IE part)
