Cannot access Internet or Control Panel Sub-Menus

Specs: Windows 7
Cannot access internet or control panel submenus after Smart HDD virus. Have tried removing proxy server, etc. Computer will not allow me to run Unhide.exe. It terminates the program. When I go into Control Panel and access System and Security sub-menu, I can access only two topics: Windows Anytime Upgrade and Adminstrative Tools. I tried accessing the Firewall via Administrative Tools but that doesn't work.

When I click on 'Allow a program through Windows Firewall' I get a message that has the red circle with the silver 'x' and the message:

Windows cannot find '[bunch of numbers] \PageConfigureApps.' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

Just to clarify the proceedure you used.

it is recommend running all of these in one instance of safe mode
rkill.exe first

then it is recommend to run tdskiller
and then Malwarebytes

note that all of these need to be done before reboot
after that you should be able to run unhide.

I think the issue is a possible root kit, that is the reason for the first two to be run.

Hello and thanks for responding, Mike.

After placing machine in safe mode, I attempted to run rkill (iExplore.exe) but it terminated the action.

I ran tdskiller which found nothing. Malwarebytes found nothing also. After restarting the computer I tried to run unhide.exe but it didn't work.

Please advise.
