cannot access gmail - server not found

Since today I cannot access the server of gmail on my wife's computer using Firefox, IE8 or Chrome. Thought it could be the Bitdefender Internet Suite 2009, which is behaving funny, so uninstalled Bitdefender and put Windows firewall. Any other site is normally accessible with Firefox, IE8 and Chrome. Have threatfire, IOBit Security 360 on the machine. Where is it blocked ? Please help. W
