Hi Roland,

Run an updated Spybot Search and Destroy ( http://security.kolla.de/ ) and fix all items in RED and reboot. Then after closing all browser windows, fix the items listed below that are remaining using HijackThis and then reboot again.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00000273-8230-4DD4-BE4F-6889D1E74167} - C:\WINDOWS\host.dll
Transponder variant – See http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/Transponder.html

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TVTMD] C:\WINDOWS\TVTMD.exe
Total Velocity variant - autoinstalling spyware

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [XupiterCfgLoader] C:\Program Files\Xupiter\XTCfgLoader.exe
Xupiter – See http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/Xupiter.html it is a adware and homepage hijacker.

After Reboot then delete:
The file TVTMD.exe at C:\WINDOWS\TVTMD.exe
The folder Xupiter at C:\Program Files\Xupiter
The file logon.exe at c:\windows\system32\logon.exe

--------------
For the future see: So how did I get infected in the first place? http://www.net-integration.net/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?;act=ST;f=38;t=3051

Four of the most recommended anti-spyware programs are SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard and Spybot S&D and Ad-aware. If you install all four programs, keep them updated, and scan with Spybot S&D and Ad-aware periodically, you will be fairly well-protected from spyware.

Thought I would mention that SpywareGuard includes a browser hijack stopper (Javacool calls it Browser Hijack Blaster) that protects your system from browser hijackers and spyware that alters your Internet Explorer settings.

Good Luck!

Hi Roland,

Did not mean to include this file for removal! copy and paste error LOL

After Reboot then delete:
The file logon.exe at c:\windows\system32\logon.exe (You will not find the file)

Roland, after you installed what program?

Everything I had you do, would have done nothing of the sort.

Can you boot into the into the safe mode and try to figure out what is wrong?

Roland...I have spy-bot,ad-aware,SpywareGuard
SpywareBlaster, you don't need anything more than that.Your not the first one to mess up your machine with HijackThis, try system restore or boot-up and go into the black hole and last known good configuration..Stay away from HijackThis,it's a good program but can be deadly...also try control panel...performance and maintenance....
administrative tools...double click on event viewer...double click on system...you error should be in there, follow the links...good luck
