Hi, I need urgent help! My boyfriend forgot to take his
MacBook Pro from the plane. Airline didn't help,
nobody contact them, so... I guess someone have
took it! And here's the thing - is there any way to
delate all the data via internet or to track your laptop?
Maybe my questions are funny to you, but I'd like to
check every possibility to find out if there anything
what we can do to the not honest person, who decided
to keep it...
Thx for any advise
Ms. D.

Well Ms D can't wait to see your pic's on youtube ;-)
Sorry could not resist. One could think of tracing the mac address but that will only work on the same subnet. Gateways, Routers and Switches, Firewalls will protect that info on the Internet.
I am afraid that it is not possible.

Why not be creative and try something similar to how the woman in the story below retrieved her stolen MAC.

>>Airline didn't help,
nobody contact them<<there should be a lost and found on the airlines....contact them with the exact flight number etc, you may have gotten the wrong department. You'll be surprised that it probably got turned in.
I lost a $750 gold bracelet in Disneyland last November and they found it 2 weeks later....so all is not lost, there still are some honest ppl around.
Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
