can Norton fix conflictor worm?

Our home PC looks to be infected by the conflictor worm and I would like to know if Norton can clean it up if it is purchashed. We currently do not have Norton anti-virus protecting our computer.

The correct spelling is Conficker (not conflictor) worm. Conficker is also known as Downadup. See link below. http://www.symantec.com/security_re... i_Xp/VistaUser

Conficker Worm Notice the word WORM in there? People get worms because they fail to get their "Windoze Updates". We were warned about the "Conficker Worm" 5 months before it struck. Only users who had turned off "download Critical Updates automatically" were infected! _________________________ Embrace paranoia, they ARE out to get you!
