Can I recover my Partition informat

My LapTop was infected with EEK.b/WYX virus, y used the Norton to remove it, but, when it boots again, didn't recognize the OS, when I check again witha Clean Startup Disk with the fdisk program, I discover thath the partition exists, the system is described as "unknown"... can I recover my Info?

Here are a couple of software solutions. One has a free demo download the other is one that I have used in the past for my organization. But it is a little over $300.00US. Someone else might know of a cheaper method. Later!
