Norton found and quarantined these files: sysval32.exe and A0042212.EXE that were infected by the back door virus. Is my comptuer safe with these files in quarantine or should I delete them totally. Are these files necessary to have on my computer?

They are safe in quarantine. My rule of thumb is; if the files cannot be cleaned and all my programs work correctly then I permanently delete them. I also delete them, if I am uninstalling my antivirus program.
