Hi,
I was wondering if I could dedicate this post to compiling a list of all the best anti-virus, malware, adware, spyware, etc etc programs and websites. This way we could all know where to go and what/who to turn to, in those events of super catastrophe. Also I guess to list which programs are best to keep as running process on your desktop and constantly update and those that we can file away for when we need them. I'm guessing this website, and programs such as CWshredder, Ad Aware, Hijack This, Spybot S&D, would all be up there. I know there is the list of useful security tools on this site to start with but I really wanted to expand on that. Any ideas?

Also maybe we could list some of the Bull S*** ant-virus etc stuff too, what we should stay away from.

If my memory serves me correct, this idea is old, and has been done a few times already.
Perhaps somebody can recall the post that was put on here some time ago, that listed various anti-spyware type programs, etc., etc...

If the OS is really N/A, install Linux (Mandrake, SuSE, and Fedora are good distors for newbies) and you won't need antivirus, spyware cleaners, IE fixer programs, etc.

Actually, not using IE would solve many potential problems. I prefer Mozilla Firefox
