Ok so a few days ago he got a virus called SpySheriff. I ran SpySweeper for him and it removed it. 2 days later he turned it on and during its regular RAM test(not 3 seconds after pushing the power button) it froze. He rebooted and it froze again, this time it didn't boot for more than a second. He rebooted one more time and nothing. No picture on the screen. No boot. No *beep* noise the computer usually makes when you turn it on. Nothing. I figured it was the video card since the comp still turned on just nothing showed up on the monitor. I switched out an old working vid card. Nothing. I tried a different monitor. Nothing. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting both hd's. Nothing. We can't get anything to come up on the screen. I can't get into the bios setteings, safe mode, anything. I'm stuck. Did the ram dead? Maybe the motherboard? PS? I don't know what to do.

I assume you've checked the power supply as a first-off but after that, if you're getting no POST then the likely culprit is the motherboard with a lesser possibility of the CPU (unless it's been overclocked). Remove all cards, drive connectors & memory then loosen, shake & re-tighten the motherboard (it's amazing how many times you find an odd nut or bolt has been loose down the back of a board without being noticed before it starts to short-out the board). With just the CPU in you should at least get POST beeps. If not then you can only try a different CPU in before having narrowed the problem down to the mobo.

Sounds like your malware did something to BIOS. Remove the CMOS battery, count to 10 by 1000's, then put it back in. That should reset your BIOS to default and you should be able to boot up again.
