Browser redirected by virus

Specs: Windows Vista
Please help. My browser keeps getting redirected by a Virus. I tried to do a system restore, but every time it says "the disk has errors". I tried scanning disk for errors but it says it can't scan while drive is in use. I click on schedule disk check ("for the next time you start your computer") but every time I reboot, I end up at square 1: "the disk has errors".

When I search something on google and click on a link result, I'm redirected somewhere else. I have to hit the back button and click again to get the link I wanted. Sometimes the websites are deceptively close to the original website I wanted to visit. It's very frustrating.

I have McAffee on my computer.

first thing i would advise is get a good version (latest i mean ..if you want free you have bit defender/ Avast)of antivirus and antispyware too.
2. Get yourself disconnected from internet ..the more you are on internet more vulnerable ur pc is to therats ..yes prevention is better than cure.
3.scan ur pc thorughly ..that should fix ur issue.
