Comment:

I recently have encountered a Internet Hijacker I cannot get rid off. I have run the following with all the current updates:

Norton Internet Security
Disk Cleanup
AdAware
Windows Advance System Care
Disk Defragmentor
Malwarebytes Anti-malware

The only one that picks anything up is Malwarebytes Anti-malware as the following:

C:\windows\system32\B.tmp

C:\windows\system32\C.tmp

It cleans them off just fine and it works maybe for a half hour, but this has taken my DSL speed from 3Mbps to 21 Kbps - yeah slower than a 56k modem and it's really frustrating. I have toyed with th ethought of reformatting, but I have so much on my computer.

Please help!

I was just trying to save some time, pending the advice received. That's the thing though, upfront I am told to be patient because the help received is from a volunteer. While I definitely appreciate it, how much validity can I put into the advice of someone I do not know etc... and ultimately am I willing to take that chance. I can wait four or five days etc. with the hopes it might band-aid the problems or I can utilize that time reformatting my computer with the assurance it will be correct without having to download a bunch of freeware and hoping someone gets back to me. Thank you for your time, but I think I just answered my own question.
