My IE 6 has been hijacked by http://www3.look-up-results.com.

How can I get rid of this? I've run Ad-Aware & Spybot, and they found nothing. I've also religiously used Spywareblaster.

Thanks..I did a scan, and a threat was found, but it wasn't http://www3.look-up-results.com.

http://www3.look-up-results.com is only activated when there is a "no-match" on a web address.

I think I found the problem...

"This 404/500 error redirection to www2.look-up-results.com or www.turnonsearch.com is not due to adware or spyware or cookies. It has been implemented by Choice One Communications (http://www.choiceonecom.com) into their national dial-up POP network, which many virtual ISPs such as Intergate (http://www.intergate.com) and All2Easy.net (http://www.all2easy.net) use to provide local access numbers throughout the US.

Basically, Choice One is redirecting 404/500 "domain name not found" errors to this ad-supported web site and, in so doing, preventing a client's browser from displaying a standard browser-based, ad-free error message. I believe this practice violates the World Wide Web Consortium's HTTP/1.1 standards (http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html#sec10). Additionally, of course, user permission for the redirection has not been obtained. Look-up-results.com doesn't have a privacy policy, doesn't provide any contact information and their domain was registered privately using Go Daddy's proxy service."
