Here is my problem: MSN won't recognize my sign in name with either of my accounts for messenger. I know it is something on my computer b/c I can sign in at msn.com fine. Also, IE won't recognize some websites and other browsers have problems recognizing passwords on some sites. I can sign in fine on different computers. What might be causing this?

Hi Mynock, I'm not sure if this will be helpful to you, but I had a frustrating, similar problem with my Yahoo! account. A continous loop of "invalid password" to "invalid user name". To make a long story short, it turned out to be a problem with corrupt cookies; it seems it would not recognize me for some reason. I ended up purging my cache, cookies, all temp files, everything I could think of. That somehow corrected my problem - I don't know if that is something you could try if you have'nt already; could be worth a try. ~Tommyo
