I have 2 viruses on my pc. One I cannot get rid of to save my life. I have tried everything that I can think of. Well, now it is time to ask for help. First and worst is the browsela.dll virus. I can't remove it because it is always in use. Second is trojan.dropper. DH9013.exe is what it says. Ok, I will attach a hijackthis log as well. Please help. Thanks!!!
Ok, well it said that I should not post the log until asked. So... I will wait. I saved it.

There are great instructions here for sorting this out:
http://www.computing.net/security/wwwboard/forum/17395.html

Browsela.dll belongs to a parasite which continue to violate your privacy and harm your computer unless browsela.dll and all related objects will not be completely removed from the system.
Browsela.dll might belong to delf.aeo, which usually downloads and runs other spyware pests or viral threats.
You may try delf.aeo removal instructions, which may be possible fix to your problem.

When i installed windows, i split my drive up into 2 partitons , one for multimedia (60gb)and the other for gaming(40gb). This is because i mainly wanted the gaming partition stripped down of processes, but also because i anticipated problems with the multimedia one, since it will be the one exposed to the internet and http traffic alot more than the gaming one. So what i did to remove this worm follows.
i booted the gaming partition, (d:) went to my multimedia partiton (c: - the one that had browsela.dll) and renamed browsela.dll to browsela.dll.bak, (because i didn't know at the time really how serious it is, so you may delete it). then i booted back into my main partition, ran hijack this, and i was successfully able to remove this key:
O20 - Winlogon Notify: browsela - C:\WINDOWS\system32\browsela.dll
after this, i deleted browsela.dll.bak to make sure it never came back again!

I got rid of browsela.dll on the same principle. I took the hard disc out of my computer and add it (as an external disc) to another one.
Then I booted it and (as there were no problems with access rights and running processes) deleted browsela.dll on that external disc.
The problem's solved and to avoid these problems in future I will log on as User or Power User (not as Administrator as I used to do - that's the mistake that make it possible for trojans to harm your computer).
