Hi All:
I have Windows XP Professional OS on my desktop. I am encountering the missing bridge.dll message at startup:
"C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll not found"I have run AdAware 6.0 to remove other pop ups etc but still getting the above message.
I have run HiJackthis and saved the log file. Can somebody help me with pointing out what are the relevant files to fix for my specific system. I can post the log file if needed.
Thanks for your help.

bobm:Two links relevant to your problem. The first is a webpage where you can download the missing bridge.dll file. The second is in regard to adware and bridge.dll.
download .dll
Adware (Symantec Security)Solarian

I wouldn't DL bridge.dll, its part of a spyware program that you have apparently deleted and a portion of the registry is still looking for it. I figured out an easy fix to eliminate the problem registry entries.
Open Notepad, and enter the following:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] "RunDLL"=-
Close the file (save it to your desktop for easy relocation), then double click on the file. The computer will interpret your "open" command as instructions to run the little applet in the file, and will ask you if you wish to save the update. You select yes, and voila, your problem is gone!
