Can anti-virus software be installed on an infected computer that is having problems booting from C: or A: running 98/me/2000 or XP with a single partition?

If it was me I would go to one of the websites that have on-line virus scanning. Then I would load my AV software. One of these sites for this on-line V acanning is www.trendmicro.com/free_tools/. Good Luck!!

A better idea is to install a second hard drive and then load Win 98(whatever you have). Install your Anti-Virus software on your new hard drive and scan your computer.
