had some peper trojan to get rid of, most of them went without a hitch. however ran into a snafu on a Win98SE pc.

since i killed peper, I'm getting slow boots and occassional lock ups on boot with this one machine. booted clean before peper removal.

anybody experience this after cleaning up peper?

Yes! My Win2k machine hangs at "preparing network connections" screen for quite a while each time I re-boot. Have not looked into why this is happening yet. I was just glad to get rid of all the junk I had picked up. It was at this forum that I learned how to get rid of that peper trojan. Just got rid of it on Friday morning, so have not had time to worry about this problem yet. I will watch this thread to see whether or not anyone with tech expertise can help to tackle it.

Steve
