Have had this os for nearly a year. The HDD drive went at about 9months, this was replaced, and all the documents/software reinstalled. Within 2 days the computer had crashed again. Within minutes of reconnecting to the Internet via broadband I was infected by 10 viruses despite having loaded Norton Anti Virus and Zone Alarm. I had to update both which I did and I got rid of the viruses using the info on Symantec web site. The computer worked for a couple of days again and then crashed. I have wiped the HDD just in case the documents were harbouring any viruses. and tried to reinstall but got the message the HDD could not be formatted because there was a problem with it. I am now being told that this is probably due a to a boot sector virus and the HDD will need to wiped with special software and low formatted before the OS can be reinstalled. Could this HDD be faulty?? Jo
