i got a boot secter virus. i took out cmos batt, fdsik, used clean start up disk, installed win 98. and it is still there. my nort 2002 wont find my options, and when i run nav with all the switches from a dos promtp using /helperror i get memery, boot sector viris, nortons infected, and "CTRL-C used to be=reak program" HELP how do i find out what it is, and or kill it. i am also thinging i got a trojen on my puter also. HELP!!!!

Did you run FDISK /MBR after booting with a KNOWN VIRUS FREE and write-protected boot floppy disk ?
If you used a floppy and it was not write-protected, you probably transferred the boot sector virus to that floppy.

Low format the drive. Get a diagnostics
program on the web site of your
manufacturer and do a low format. That
will guarantee a total wipe out of
EVERYTHING.
