I was trying to remove several malware that they were installed in my computer and follow a very similar case open in
computing.net.http://www.computing.net/answers/se...
So I was able to scan the computer and I found flec006.exe, hdlrrr.exe, HPLCRMP.exe and wintems.exe. In order to remove them I installed
AVG Antispyware and apparently I have removed the malware since the AVG Antispyware provided the removal message
confirmation. Also I tried to run Combofix to confirm the computer was clean, but I got the message that the application
is not a Win32 application or similar. Anyhow, I tried to begin the computer using boot safe and I could not begin Windows
since the computer began to produce a boot loop so I began windows normally and I tried to run AVZ to repair the boot, but
I got the message that the application is not a Win32 application or similar.
So then I tried to fix the boot safe, by using an application I found in a tutorial that another tool for restoring boot safe was
"Bootsafe" from SuperAntispyware (http://www.superadblocker.com/bootsafe.html) unfortunately it reboot the machine and now it is imposible to
access Windows. I tried boot safe, normal windows and last know configuration.
Right now, I have been able to acces the HD files by using the Recovery console. I have tried a bootfix but I am still in the same position.
I do not want to try something else which can cause more damage to the computer, therefore I writing this post to get
help. Any light it will be really appreciatte it.
Rodrigo.

Heya Rodrigo,
You've already been to the recovery console by booting the pc with your xp disc.
Go back into recovery console and once there type in:
fixboot
the fixboot command will write a new start-up sector on the default partition where the operating system resides.
Once done exit recovery console and boot your pc up normally and hopefully this will fix the boot problem.
Another command you can use in the recovery console is:
fixmbr
this option will repair the master boot code on the default partition... this is an option you can try next if the first doesn't work.
If these methods get your pc booting up properly it will be a good idea to update and then run the SUPERAntispyware complete scan.
P.S. This is the MS method for repairing the boot sector and I would imagine the safest bet aside from using a third party utility.

First of all thanks btklwl for the fast answer.
I am scared of running fixmbr just in case the HD will be notaccesible after running it.
Is there any way to save the HD data before doing so?
Thanks a lot.

There is no failsafe way of performing a back-up from the recovery console that I am aware of.
In the case your pc becomes completely unbootable there is always the option of data recovery by slaving the drive to another pc and salvaging from there. But this is obviously an undesireable option if all you need to do is boot into the OS.
This is all I can suggest, hopefully someone looks here and can offer up a suggestion that gives you more peace of mind.
