cannot get beyond the password in the bios - need boot disk for toshiba satellite 4100 laptop

What you need is the BIOS password. Contact Toshiba.

If only the BIOS is password protected, but starting your OS is possible, you need a bootdisk (MS-DOS) with Debug.exe.
Depending on the BIOS, you can use debug and within debug some output commands, to complectely reset the BIOS to factory defaults.
