d85kennedy,
I read a couple of links that said that the Panda Active scan should get rid of it....when Norton could not...
Here is the link....for the online scan...

OE: 6.0.2800.1106 SP1 128 bitMy weekly Norton scan just detected 3 bloodhound.exploit.6 viruses. 2 were quarantined, but the 3rd was not able to be quarantined or deleted from my system. After shelling out $50 for Norton Antivirus it tells me that my computer is still infected.
The virus was labeled "unknown00000000.data.bloodhound.exploit.6". Can anyone tell me how to clean up my computer?
Norton sent me to a Microsoft page to download a "patch", but the "patch" won't work. I have OE6 SP1, but the patch tells me I have to have OE6. I do!!! But for some reason it can't detect it and therefore won't work. I downloaded about 3 different "patches" and none worked. I'm really aggravated about this.
I tried several times to submit this to Norton, but it keeps failing.
Can anyone here shed any light on this? I've been helped out of a sticky spot at this site twice before, and I'm hoping my luck hasn't run out. ;)

All cleaned up now. I went to the Panda ActiveScan website posted above and they found 3 infected files and "disinfected" them. I ran Norton again after that and it found nothing. Many thanks & gratitude to JPQ above who posted the link! :)

I to have been hit by this virus and have done every thing suggested by Rhonda as my problem is similar to hers and thanks to panda active it seems to be o.k my only problem now is how do I restore my 11 infected files in quarantine that Norton cannot repair,or because every thing seems to be working just leave well alone, would like useful advice
first go onto internet explorer
tools ===> internet options ===> deleate files ==> tick offline content box ==> okthen do a scan
it is a common problem with bloodhound detection often used on norton antivirus

many thanks for your input Frankeh, but it's the quarantined files that I want info on, not the internet files as I clean those up on a regular basis do I return them back and hope that Panda active can disenfect them or just leave well alone as my computer seems to behaving it'self
