Is there anyway I can block Yahoo messenger from my computer at home. I know I can uninstall it, but I want it totally inaccessible. I am not technologically advanced, so if it is possible, step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if I've understood properly what you mean by totally inaccessable, but if you go to Messenger/Preferences/Ignore List and check the box "Ignore Anyone Who Isn't On My Messenger List" and click Apply, then delete everyone on your Buddy List, no one can send you a message on that computer.

If you mean keep Messenger on your Computer, but have it unable to open, as far as I know that can't be done in a way that will allow it to be usable again, so you may as well uninstall.

Hmm.. are you trying to hide it from your boss??? (wife etc)

Try this...
delete the icon on your desktop.
Go to the start menu/programs
and find it and right click props
Change the ICON and the name of the program to something no one would ever bother.

YOu can install any program pretty much anywhere... so instead of installing it in PROGRAMS... install it in say..
c:\programs\IBM (IBM folder YOU made)
Its an easy fix assuming that your not hiding it from an actual teck *S*

A computer is a perfectionist's nightmare.
