KosTeR:

First question: Are you using a configurable firewall? If so, you shouldn't have a problem stealthing (better than just closing) port 3410--or any other port for that matter.

Ports cannot be damaged in a physical sense, since they are virtual creations of the operating system. Damage to the the OS is another matter altogether.

If you're certain Backdoor.OptixPro.13 has been removed from your PC--you scanned/isolated/removed the malware in Safe Mode and disabled System Restore, so the malware couldn't hide in SR--then you should be in good shape.

But again, since you didn't mention the firewall, is it set up correctly; stealthing all ports?

Use these, they're free:

Jason’s Browser Security Test:

Gibson tests:

At the Gibson site use leakTest, DCOMbobulator, SheildsUp, and UnPlugnPray

Sygate (free, I use it) firewall:

Give me your e-mail and I will send a list of the ports I have blocked.

I tried to click on your name to get your e-mail but something is messed and I get an error.
