Subject: BIOS password? Recovery disk?
Comment:

I'm familiar with BIOS passwords, BUT I bought a board (an Intel CC820) which has a supervisor and a user password set. This information is unobtainable from the baord's source nor is a recovery disk either. I've tried to clear the passwords in a BIOS config screen but the board locks up. Furthermore, when I arrow-over to the 'Security' setting in BIOS, the keyboard - and the board - lock up. I'm thinking the BIOS is done for because the board worked in a system without any hitches. Only after I plucked it out did it start the gyrations. Any ideas? TIA...

Many motherboards have a jumper for erasing bios passwords. Look on the motherboard for a jumper named pwd and remove it, then boot.
