Hi , Was hoping I could post some pics here to make this easier but I will explain as best as possible . My computer got infected with a virus and when I rebooted the the screen is covered in dollar signs and the bios info is all mispelled ( sound crazy yet ) Tried safe mode but just hangs on the vista screen with no start button or anything else. Tried the reinstall cd , gets as far as installing and then just hangs , so now everytime I try to reboot and start over it just keeps hanging . Also set the bios to default , took out battery from mb and shorted the cmos jumper as well , any help appreciated.

what happens when you try to enter the bios, by hitting the delete key or the proper F? key at the proper time?? larry

Thanks for your reply , I can get into bios setup no problem , I set everything back to default as well and its still screwed. If you have an e mail you can check this picture out , I have never seen anything like this before . Was hoping I could just swap out the bios chip but cant find one on this board. Hopefully someone can help me with this . Thanks
