ok well maybe my trojan problem isn't that big but when it comes to computer problems like this anything seems like a big problem to me. you seeabout a month ago norton appeared stating that i had download.trojan virus on my computer. well immediately i started to panic and switched off my computer - until today. after doing some research (well trying to) on the net i came across this site. thinking it was the cure to my problem i starting reading. although it all sounds good - i hardly understand a word with all these different folders you have to go and delete stuff. i swear i'm like a blonde when it comes to computers (no offence). so if anyone can give me advice as to what to do (a.s.a.p plz) concerning trojan - in simple language plz lol - it would be greatly helpful!

thanx

Go to Wilders.org. Go to their download page. Look under "anti-trojans." Many of the anti-trojans have a free trial.

Find the program you want to use (many are good). Download it. Open the program. Click the "update" option to download the updates. Run the updated program.

Hi Missy...

Hey! I'm blond! And I been messin' with computers for years and still don't know anything! ;0)

Anyway, why do you think that you still have a trojan? It sounds like Norton caught the trojan; have you kept the Norton anitvirus indexes updated regularly? When Norton flashes a message to you, 99% of the time that is good, it means that it did its job and nailed the trojan. I get them occasionally also.
>If your computer is running normally with no pop-ups or problems,
>If Norton has not notified you of any virus present,
>If, when you are booted, you have NOT received any notices from Norton that some program is attempting to access the internet without your permission, OR some programs has NOT attemped to boot your modem and dial-out (if you have dial-up internet connection),
then probably Norton did its job and you do not have any trojan on your computer.

I hope you caught my missed step. I should have said:

Download the program. INSTALL THE PROGRAM. Open the program. Run the update, etc.
