Comment:
Recently, i have been having a problem similar to alot of the other users, I have tried several of their methods for dealing with im, and have had no luck. Limewire, seems to open up regardless of what I do. And during startup, I am getting an error message for b.exe After I post this, I can post my hijackthis file, and hopefully there is something that can be done. Thanks in advance

Dave

Please run Hijack This> click "open the misc. tools section:> check both boxes to the right of "generate startuplist log" then click on generate startup list log> yes>copy/paste that log and post it please.

Run again Hijack This> click "open the misc. tool section"> click "open uninstall manager"> click "save list"> click "save"> click "yes"> post that log please.

Please download SDFix by AndyManchesta and save it to your desktop.

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
Restart your computer.
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but just before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually.
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear.
Select the first option, to run Windows in "Safe Mode", then press "Enter".
Choose your usual account.

Once in Safe Mode, please do the following:
In Safe Mode, right-click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All.
Open the extracted folder and double-click RunThis.bat to start the script.
Type Y to begin the script.
It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
When the desktop loads the fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt

Please download and install

SuperAntiSpyware
Load SUPERAntiSpyware and click the Check for Updates button.
Once the update has finished, click the Scan your Computer button.
Check Perform Complete Scan and then click Next.
SUPERAntiSpyware will now scan your computer, and when it’s finished it will list all the infections it has found.
Make sure that they all have a check next to them, and then click Next.
Click Finish and you will be taken back to the main interface.
It could be possible that it will ask you to reboot your computer in order to delete some files after reboot.
I'll need a log afterwards of what has been found.
To get the log, click Preferences and then click the Statistics/Logs tab. Click the dated log and press View Log and a text file will appear.
Please post the results of the SUPERAntiSpyware log and a new HijackThis log in your next reply.
