Reply: (edit)Trojan=Free trial programs for a 30 days; Agnitum's Tauscan, TDS, Trojan Hunter, Trojan Remover, BoClean, but it is only available on a cd, no free trial period, just a 100% warranty. Antivirus=Trial programs for a free 30 day trial; srnmicro's SOLO, ESET's NOD32, Computer Associates ETRUST, and Grisoft's AVG(free) Spyware=Adaware and Spybot to detetct and clean, then get Spywareblaster for active x prevention, as it does not detect or clean, all are free.

Reply: (edit)For trojan scanners I have Trojan Hunter and TDS-3.They are both programs that I would recommend. Trojan Hunter is an easy program for new users. TDS-3 is a little bit more complicated,it has more utilities. The scanner is not as fast as TH,but easy to configure..It has a lot of port utilities(connect, trace, monitor etc..) Anti-virus:The only free program that I used was AVG.Not bad at all for a free program. I prefer NOD32.If you go the pay route there are some interesting programs.Everyone has their own personal preferences regarding av programs. Spyware scanners:I use Spybot. That's my favorite and it's free. You can do a lot with it.Always update it and check out the forum for tips on settings etc..(Info & license tab>credits in Spybot program console.) An alternative that I like a lot is Spyware Eliminator by aluria software. It is a pay program but has a trial available. It used to be a 90 day trial. Best of luck choosing, JB.
