I am currently using Sygate 5.5 build 2710, which is older. Does anyone know of the last good build Sygate made that works with Windows ME? I have heard the newest ones have issues on the ME OS.

Asked and answered!! Thanks a great deal for all of your input. I have been using Sygate for about three weeks now after using Norton Int. Security for three years. Sygate is so much better in my opinion.

erg57, I posted the link before I found some others. But you get the idea.
Guys, remember we are talking a about Win Me and 98 users that have smc not responding when you hit ctrl alt delete. A little bug, but it still can pass the above tests. Unless they fixed it and forgot to tell me.
I went back to Outpost Free because of the plug in features. (sweet)
Never did try Zone Alarm, but I also had Norton's before I found the free ones.

Summary: It will do the job more than adequately. I would check out the free versions of Sygate, Kerio or Outpost, if I were looking for a firewall, before I installed Zone Alarm. You can check out the reviews...
