Comment: Anyone want to suggest their favorite free AV? I've been running AVG6, but I was not thrilled at all with AVG7 (bloatware, phantom detections). So, where should I go from here, as AVG6 has about three weeks of life left?

Reply: (edit)As someone noted, there is no perfect antivirus program, whether free or not. I have read a number of posts in different forums, and have seen a wide variety of opinions. Recently I started using a free program called AntiVir, and have found it to be satisfactory up to this point. You might want to check it out.
