Take a look at the Flank PC, thepublicworks, Wilders.org websites for firewall ratings. I have used both. Between the two free versions, I would choose Sygate. I do use Zone Alarm plus now. I do want to warn you that Zone Alarm can be hard to get rid of should you change your mind about using it. Take care!

I would choose sygate. Although, Agnitium (sp?) Outpost Firewall has alot of nice features...
Zone Alarm is for newbies...It doesn't give you as much power/ability like the other firewalls (ie: rule based).

The best firewall is a hardware firewall. Pick up a linksys router or the new SMC Barricade. More secure, more configurable and you can share internet access.
Summary: I just have a quick question about firewalls and which one is the best. I started out with Zone Alarm and didn't really like the features - So I switched to Sygate Personal Firewall for a while and li...
