Comment: I was wondering what is the best anti virus ? I currently run Avast! personal edition. I used to have Norton Anti virus 2006 and AVG professional and i still have Trend O Micro 2006 Internet security! but i want the best out of all anti viruses and one which doesnt use alot of RAM and CPU % cheers, emra

Reply: (edit)You'll likely get as many preferences as people responding. Best bet is to search around for benchmark tests, although these don't usually mention RAM & CPU usage. Where both freebie and professional versions of any particular AV are available they normally use the same data base. It is the advanced features which you normally pay for. DerekW
