i've never heard of these two files before: BDE setup and AUSrc, or AUbin. they were newly created according to the properties, and are in my Windows folder. i've been having troubles with my comp lately... and i deleted them to the Recycling bin... especially after BDE caught the eye of my firewall, trying to access the internet.
what are these programs and should i be concerned?

You can search at google to find out but
did you scan for viruses and spyware?
Getting rid of junk improves PC's performance.

BDE? or b3d?Be careful of totally deleting that particular file.If it is b3d or B3D it is Brilliant Digital(the sneakiest and scummiest spyware)and you want to delete that for sure!!!!!They change names a lot lately. If it comes up as Borland, that is NOT spyware. It is part of windows.Adaware and Spybot work for removing spyware.I use both and I recommend them both.By the way...Spybot identifies Brilliant Digital as "b3d projector."

i've scanned my computer with McAffee and searched for Spyware with Adaware, and it comes up clean. But McAffee also overlooked the Trojan i had lurking that housecall.antivirus.com picked up!
and yes, the BDE shows up as B3D... but the folder is called BDE. i also noticed that when i clicked on the properties, it had $ for legal manufacturer and [ for comments, and all that..
i have both it and that AUsrc in my Recycling Bin right now... i just don't know if i should restore them or delete them for good... but i think from whut i've heard, i should!
thanku all for replying it really helped me :)

Check out spywareinfo.com for the forum there. There are posts/threads that have info. on brilliant digital.I believe there is also a link to a news story on that site.If there is any doubt about the identity of these programs you may find an answer there.
