Hi,

Iwas wondering if someone could help me please. I installed and ran a programme called BCWipe.. (it is a programme that erases unused disc space so that files cannot be recovered)... before I ran BCWipe I had 1.17GB in used space on my C: drive and 2.63 free. After I ran BCWipe I now have 1.82 in used space and 1.99 free.

Why after running this programme has it taken up an extra .65GB?

I would appreciate any help in this matter and suggestions,

Kind Regards,

Stu.

Run Scandisk and it should reclaim your free disk space.

BCWipe has a habit of claiming a portion of unused free space while it is working. I have noticied this and sent an email out to the company.

When I have run scandisk/chkdsk it told me that my free space was allocated incorrectly and that it needed to fix it.. and it did.
