Hi guys, man do i have a problem. My on said he clicked on something that popped up while he was playing some club penguin disney game. Next thing I know on my screen is this huge warning saying ive been infected with a worm and spyware. My computer went nuts and kept trying to upload these .exe files which spybot wouldnt allow but i couldnt keep up. Now when i try and open and .exe file i get a prompt asking me what file i want to use to open it, the list is the list you would get to open a generic file with options like word, notepad, firefox ect.. I tried to go to start.run and get in the registry but it wont allow me to run files and gives me that prompt. I tried going to add remove programs to disable IE becuase it said it was using that before it went nuts but it wont let me open add remove programs, its saying that rundll32.exe file is not found. So i cant run anything like spyware and cannot get in to disable anything. To make this even worse i dont have a cd drive, it cracked and i have not replaced it. I have two computers and a flash drive so i can transfer files but still i cant run them.. Im pulling my hair out. Anything you guys can suggest i would really appreciate.

BigShow, That file you would download is not a .exe file. It is a .reg file and if you follow the instructions I posted it may correct your .exe file association problem.

Well maybe running a full scan with your antivirus might fully clear it up.

Also are you sure that you are the Administrator of that computer. You must be using a another account on that computer which limits you on running some exe.
