Comment:
My Norton antivirus informed me that my machine was infected with backdoor.jeen I followed clean up instructions - turned off the restore function - updated the antivirus and ran it again - twice! The message is that the system is still infected.
Followed the Norton instructions - to the letter but ...... Any suggestions?

Download 'Hijack This!'. Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan". When the scan is finished, click "Save Log", and copy and paste it in a reply. HijackThis!

You may have to do it manually.
Find out where the virus is located, Norton should tell you that.
Then turn off Win XP system restore, restart computer in Win XP safe mode, when you do that empty recycle bin and temp folder files, then use goto that file where the virus is located, drag it to the recycle bin and then delete it once it is in their. Should get rid of it like a charm. Once do that, do a live update of your stuff.
