Ok - thanks first to wawadave
I have Nortons Anti virus software - fully updated like a good little girl that I truly am, I have personal firewall - Nortons.... fully updated. Thankfully.
I am currently getting alert saying 206.145.178.153 blocked "Default Block Backdoor/SubSeven" - I seem to get this every few days. Is this a hacker? How can I stop it - am I doing enough? I do full scans regularly and no viruses are found.
What are your thoughts.Angie
Win ME
Nortons SoftwareOh yeah forgot to add, - did a track thing and it goes as far as KARLSTAD MN, USA. IP address drops out there!

That IP belongs to Minnesota Regional Network. Go to www.samspade.org
and search the IP to find more information on that.Test your PC security at:

As Danny said, somebody is just probing you.
A) He is EVIL and wants to see if he can get in.
B) He is probing a large ip-range to find places to post (games/movies/appz) (less evil)There are some strange applications that use unusual ports, and he could have triggered it by mistake.
If it continues you could always block him in Norton Personal Firewall by choosing:
Personal Firewall --> Internet Zone Control --> Restricted (enter his ip)You could always check the ISP by entering his ip at RIPE/ARIN etc. and send mail to his ISP (abuse@HIS_ISP.com and complain...though if he gets a new ip every time he gets online, it would be very tiresome...

hello angie is fire wall blocking it from going out of your computer? or trying to get in if its trying to get in dont worrie, but if its trying to get out you have a problem.
the fact it says what was blocked has me wondering what fire wall are you running?
mine only tells me what its blocking when its on computer.will just give ip if its trying to get in i run zone alarm pro.
have a nice day
